Hate is a Virus!

Dear AYLA,

In the past months, we have seen a rise of attacks on the Asian American community everywhere, from San Francisco to Atlanta, Georgia, and it is truly saddening. Unfortunately, the virus of hate has hit one of our AYLA Chapters, as some of members have received hateful messages saying that they do not belong. AYLA was built as a platform to speak out against these types of issues. We are here to support all of our members. Please reach out to us if you need any support. We are here to help in any way we can.❤

What YOU Can Do

We at AYLA urge you to spread awareness for the issues faced by our community - be it stereotyping, harassment, or assault - and to dedicate yourself (and help others dedicate themselves) to being anti-racist and being supportive of Asian Americans. AYLA stands and always will stand in solidarity with the Asian American community, especially when it is in danger. What is happening is both appalling and frightful. We, too, will dedicate ourselves to raising awareness and combatting anti-Asian racism.
